HOW HAIR REMOVAL WORKS
The light penetrates the skin, is absorbed by the hair's melanin and converted into heat. This heat destroys both the hair root and the so-called bulge. The surrounding skin remains untouched intact. However, this photoepilation only reaches the hair in its growth phase - but they never all grow at the same time. There are always 15-20% of hair follicles in the growth phase that can be treated. After 2.5- 3 weeks, the affected ones fall hair out. In order to remove hair not only in the long term, but also across the board, the treatment must be repeated.
PREPARATION BEFORE TREATMENT
Important: You must shave the area to be treated thoroughly the day before. If you are unable to shave yourself, simply use our shaving service. We are very happy to take care of that for you. Do not apply cream, deodorant, make-up or perfume to the area on the day of treatment. It is best to exfoliate the area to be treated one day before the treatment.
No plucking, waxing, epilation, hair removal cream or similar 4 weeks before the treatment. Shaving is allowed! In order to permanently remove hair, we have to "grab it by the root". That's why you mustn't pull your hair out.
1-2 weeks before the treatment no intense sun exposure or solarium, also no self-tanner. Sunburn cannot be treated, sun tan is not a problem. You are also welcome to treat in the summer. Make sure you have a high sun protection factor at least 1 week before and after the laser treatment.
For a sunburn, 2 weeks healing time.
2 days before no swimming pool (chlorine) or sauna.
TREATMENT PROCESS
Before the first treatment, we conduct a free consultation about the effectiveness and tolerability of your skin type. You are welcome to be treated immediately afterwards.
A special gel is applied to your skin before the laser. Applying the gel is important for cooling and provides better skin contact. Laser goggles are worn to protect your eyes.
Then it is lasered. During the laser treatment, you will feel a slight warmth and a slight pricking.
And the treatment is already finished, you can go about your normal everyday life again and you should avoid direct sunlight and solarium for at least 24-48 hours or at least use a high sun protection factor. The next treatment takes place after 6-8 weeks, depending on the body region.
AFTER TREATMENT
No plucking, waxing, epilation, no hair removal cream or similar during the entire course of treatment. Shaving is allowed!
Do not apply any cream, deodorant, make-up or perfume to the zone immediately after the treatment.
Do not take a hot shower or exercise immediately after the treatment.
1 week after the treatment no intensive sun exposure or solarium. Always use sunscreen with a higher factor!
2 days after the treatment no swimming pool (chlorine) or sauna.
It is optimal to exfoliate the treated area once a week for the next 3 weeks after the treatment.

IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
The treatment is gentle and practically painless thanks to the integrated skin cooling device. Depending on your own pain tolerance, you can feel a slight prick at times.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS TO SCHEDULE?
On average, six to eight sessions must be scheduled. In some cases, the required sessions can increase to more. For the laser treatment, the hair must be in the growth phase. The growth phase alternates with the resting phase. Hair is in different growth and rest cycles, so multiple sessions are required. Since the number of sessions varies depending on skin and hair type and the respective treatment area, this is determined in an individual consultation.
AT WHAT INTERVALS DO THE TREATMENTS TAKE PLACE?
The ideal interval between sessions is around 4 weeks for a facial treatment and around 6-8 weeks for a body treatment, as this corresponds to the hair growth cycle.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE INGROWTH HAIRS?
As a positive side effect, even ingrown hairs, red pimples and other skin irritations disappear after just a few treatments.
I'M TAKING MEDICATION, CAN I STILL PERFORM THE TREATMENT?
Taking certain medications can prevent the desired success or make the use of the laser impossible. Before the session, let us know what medications you have taken in the last two weeks.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE TO IPL?
With the MeoDioStar Monolith It is a 810-940 diode laser nm wavelength. This is one of the most modern permanent lasers hair removal. In contrast to conventional light, such as that generated in the flash lamp, the wavelength that is effective for hair removal in the laser is generated as soon as the light beam is created. The laser light does not spread diffusely in the tissue, but is completely parallel and can therefore be focused on a precisely defined area. The advantage of this state-of-the-art laser for hair removal is that the wavelength is precisely aligned to the target structure and thus achieves the maximum hair removal effect at the desired location without damaging surrounding structures.
Intensely pulsed light (IPL) is light that, when it is generated in the flash lamp, contains a non-targeted, broad spectrum of wavelengths that first have to be reduced to a specific wavelength by filters.
WHICH PEOPLE CANNOT BE TREATED?
Pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding (can only be treated after 6 months)

• People who take light-sensitive medicines such as antibiotics, ibuprofen, aspirin C, paracetamol for a long time

IS LASER TREATMENT OF INTIMATE HAIR DURING THE PERIOD POSSIBLE?
In principle, permanent hair removal in the intimate area is also possible during the period. Whether you find it hygienic or yourself feel good, you decide. our advice, the treatment of intimate area stopping a week before your period, as many women do are significantly more sensitive during this time. If you decide to have a treatment, it is only with fresh tampon possible.
